ENGINEER APPRENTICESHIPS (MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE) - MORRISONS MANUFACTURING SITES - £COMPETITIVE + EXCELLENT BENEFITS
We are currently recruiting Engineer Apprentices for our manufacturing operation at Farmer's Boy in Deeside . Farmers Boy acquired in 2010 as a joint venture with Cranswick Foods and became 100% Morrisons owned in April 2012. Deeside low risk extension is due for completion early this year. It has 20 high speed High Risk Slicing Lines lines on a standard week producing over 2.5 million packs of sliced cooked meats in a standard week. It has 1100 colleagues operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and dispatching up to 9 vehicles per day.
Morrisons is much, much more than a big food retailer. We're also the UK's second largest fresh food manufacturer and it's the job of our engineering team to keep things running efficiently behind the scenes.
Lasting 3-4 years, our Apprenticeship schemes are the ideal springboard for an exciting career in food manufacturing. Offering a unique combination of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering maintenance with food safety, compliance and processing knowledge, we'll help you develop a range of technical skills.
You'll get right into the action in a paid job while we support you in obtaining a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance (FDEM) and you could go on to get a BSc or MSc degree in Food Engineering. What's more, our Apprenticeships are approved by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) as well as the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMEchE).
To apply you'll need to be aged 16+. 4 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent including Maths, English and a Science are desired but not essential.
