The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups and Valuation Review.
We are currently looking for a
Trading Fees Financial Controller
for our Budapest office
The Budapest Trading Fees Controlling group is seeking to fill a Controller position that requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, technical and communication skills. Main responsibilities include trading fee reconciliation, active and regular communication with exchanges and clearing houses, month end close tasks, variance and trend analysis, GL account reconciliation, invoice reconciliation and payment, and delivering on ad hoc requests from Finance management and Business Units. The role also includes active contribution to automation and renovation projects, optimization of current processes, and harmonization/standardization of processes across regions.
Responsibilities
•Preparing control reports of trading related activities
•Preparing month-end close and product reports (accruals, allocations, product pack)
•Interact with internal controllers, operations and traders to resolve any trade related issues highlighted by the control reports
•Provide detailed analyses on daily, weekly, monthly, control reports, highlight issues, follow up with related parties and support Business Unit monthly reporting
•Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests to management, support decision making
Desired profile
•Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields
• At least 1 year of experience preferably in finance or accounting field
•Interest in banking and the financial markets
•Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts is an advantage
•Good level of written and spoken English
•Demonstrated ability to: prioritize competing responsibilities, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines and capability to handle repeating, well defined tasks (i.e. reporting)
•Strong analytical and technical skills, proficient in use of MS Office especially Excel
•Pro-active attitude
•Good team player
