Job Summary
Moog Controls Ltd is recruiting for a Junior Test Equipment Engineer to become a vital part of the Test Equipment team at our site in Tewkesbury. Your focus will be on supporting the design & commissioning of test equipment that test the performance of products destined for aerospace flight and engine controls. Equally, you will provide workshop support repairing & calibrating existing equipment within our Assembly & Test and Plant facilities.
You will fault find and commission both the electronic and hydraulic elements of the equipment, ensuring they work accurately to specification. During this process you will be expected to update drawings when necessary using AutoCad, understand fully the operation of the equipment allowing you to train both operating and maintenance staff, and generate the calibration documentation and then use it to calibrate the equipment.
We are looking for an excellent team player, who can work well using their own initiative. You will be expected to join the departments out of hours call out rota and on occasions, you will be required to travel to other Moog facilities, both in the UK & abroad, to commission, repair or update our equipment.
Key Expertise
- A relevant Engineering Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent ideally in the field of Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
- Apprenticeship trained would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in a hands on role and/or a desire to work in such a role
- Ability to use your own initiative and encourage people, whether within the department or external
- Good communication skills
- A desire to develop a career in the field of Test Equipment Engineering
