Purpose of role
This job is accountable for leading, managing and coordinating all activities related to conversion process within the Section, guaranteeing the efficient conversion process in order to produce planned and budgeted volume, to be delivered on time, at lowest costs, within the required quality and SSE standards and in accordance with Plant/Category/Region Strategy. 
The role provides significant support as the site transitions through its phases of growth, adoption and implementation of new ways of working (e.g. IL6S, HPWS) which provide solid foundations for the plant CBN journey through the development of a strong process, people and continuous improvement heartbeat throughout the section.
Main responsibilities
1. SAFETY & QUALITY: ensure that all products produced comply with MEU product specifications. Ensure that all quality QP's e.g., Hazard Analytical Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and safety regulations are in place, monitored and followed by corrective actions. Act as a Safety leader for the section by the active support and role modelling of Safety, Security & Environment (SSE) programs and reinforce safe behaviour of production team members.        
2. OPERATIONS: Accountable for the Section's operational and financial performance in line with annual operating plan commitment. Plan annual section budget with the support of the section controller & approval from MEU. Manage, track & report monthly section budget. Responsible for overall lines’ efficiency, yield, rework, overweight, scrap, line manning and production volume. Identify, evaluate and deliver improvements on productivity and efficiency targets.  Assess, quantify and deliver process, systems and product improvements across the section to support growth and margin. To support this, collaborate effectively with other functions (BD&E, Marketing, Finance and Commercial departments) and suppliers to deliver consumer value opportunities.
   
3. SERVICE LEVEL : Deliver production planning following the demand requirements defined by MEU’s S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process. Responsible for the short term scheduling in compliance with the provided mid-/long-term schedule/plannning. Drive the weekly service from supply side (Service Level/Supply failures KPI). Ensure flexibility of production output e.g. by labour planning (e.g., usage of temporary workers, seasonal staff, vacation planning) and assure contingency plans if needed.  
4. LEADING TEAM: Be the vehicle of change for your section, translating and communicating the CBN to your teams. As a change agent by action, develop and coach the operational teams to achieve levels of ability, knowledge and independence (autonomy) that leverages team work in order to reach 100% engagement, and flexibility. 
5. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Through the effective deployment of CI/IL6S programmes and practices, deliver operational and financial improvements. Challenge consistenly machine standards, work processes and systems. Identify profit margin enhancing opportunities, develop business benefit scenarios and implement improvement projects through effective utilisation of CI processes and disciplines. Lead and deliver on business supported improvements and investments in interface with Business Development and RD&Q for new products, new processes, product promotions, de-complexity projects, etc. whilst ensuring existing operations and ways of working are optimised and aligned. 
Be the partner of IL6S pillar leaders to implement the IL6S model, develop best practices within the section whilst offering cross site join-up and to deliver site commitments.

Career experiences required & roles implications

1. University degree in manufacturing or engineering .
2. entensive experience in Manufacturing environment and people management
3. Fluent in English and French 
4. Proven IL6S and Conversion management experience
5. Experience in working with strong trade unions
