Sheffield is home to some of the UK’s most iconic sweets brands: Maynards, Trebor and Bassett’s. It’s the largest sugar confectionery plant in the Mondelēz International network across Europe and produces approx 40,000 tonnes of sweets each year.

As the Finance Analyst - Manufacturing, you will business partner with local plant management in providing financial support for Manufacturing Section under guidance of Section Managers and Plant Controller, in terms of section specific cost budgeting, actual cost tracking, gap analysis between standard and actual performance and in order to ensure fulfilling of Section’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:
·  Determine facts and figures from the section in order to prepare Section’s budget and forecasts and ensure regular tracking of it, adherence to budget figures and reporting of deviations.
·  Track actual performance against relevant KPI’s, production standard of the conversion process in the section including material, Direct Variable Labour, Direct Variable Expense consumption and section specific fixed cost. Use controlling tools to measure deviations.
·  Support timely and accurate product costing calculations, report deviations.
·  Identify main cost drivers for further productivity potential within the section.
·  Ensure collection, check integrity of shift data (e.g. PI sheet info, timesheet info) in order to produce correct calculations.
·  Provide support and guidance on section related KPIs.
·  Ensure timely and accurate reporting of section specific costs and provide analysis on section related ad hoc requests.
·  Guarantee strict compliance with relevant financial policies and procedures within the section, including the Inventory and Engineering Store Stock Checks.

Qualifications

 
Key Requirements:

Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training

·  Finance or manufacturing background or equal experience.
·  University degree or equivalent, preferable in finance, preferred.
·  A relevant finance qualification would be preferable, ACA/CIMA/CA/ACCA or similar.

Skills/Leadership Competencies

·  Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing section finance environment.
Well organised with good analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
·  Good interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
·  Proven track record of self-management and time management.
·  Good PC literacy in terms of SAP & other manufacturing applications and MS Office.
·  Drive for results, proactive and action oriented.
·  Proven organizational agility.
·  Ability to deal with ambiguity.
·  Ability to handle fast paced changing environment.

Experience

·  Considerable finance or manufacturing experience required depending on size of manufacturing section. Ideally in an international environment.
·  Fluent English, written and spoken.
