JUNIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Job description

MISSION STATEMENT:
- Lead analysis, understanding and evaluation of the overall performance of MH Europe business, delivering excellent Decision Support to MH Europe Management
- Ensure quality & timely availability of financial and business information to stakeholders
- Provide a framework for coordinating market’s quality of results and management information for decision making
- Business Partner other Functions within MH Europe, providing financial support for business improvement
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
FORECAST (Budget, LE1/LE2, R&O, PMT)
- Develop excel files for Forecasting, Risk & Opportunities (R&O), Budget (including landing) and PMT (Strategic Planning) processes
- Prepare analysis on Volumes, Pricing and A&Ps for the Finance and Commercial Team (excel and ppt), to include in results presentation to Senior Management
- Help to coordinate Budgetary changes with Markets (Controllers and CFOs) for the internal Essbase reporting system
ACTUAL REPORTING
- Support the reporting of New Channels Development (Corporate, Private and e-Commerce)
- Prepare, with the supervision of the Controller, a quarterly tracking of distribution costs and participate in the implementation of Network Design Project
TREASURY
- Cash Management: support production and analysis of actual and Budget / Forecast reporting
- Credit Management: support production and analysis of monthly Credit / DSO reporting and ad hoc projects
ANALYSIS & SUPPORT
- Create results presentation for use in Senior Exec meetings
- Ad-hoc analysis of business results for the Financial Control Director, CFO and MD of MH Europe
- Responsible for improvement and follow up reporting tools for both actual data & forecasts (Variance Analysis, Multiannual report, etc.)
SYSTEMS
- Develop expertise with Essbase, Cognos and Syrus reporting systems and share with Finance Team
- Oversee ‘OTL’ upgrade development process for Essbase application
PROFILE:
Education:
- University degree or Business School. Majors in Finance or related subjects an advantage
Languages:
- Fluency in English
- Another European language a bonus
Professional experience & know how:
- Good knowledge in finance and accounting
- Relevant finance work experience preferred
- International mindset
Technical & management skills:
- Strong analytical skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Action and result oriented, driving for improved performance
- Good organisation & planning
- IT literacy: Excellent knowledge in Excel & Powerpoint. Essbase or SAP an advantage
