Job description

Reporting to the Commercial Analyst
- Sales, the Finance Analyst will assist in producing and reporting financial plans in line with corporate guidelines. Produce and improve monthly analytical reports and dashboards (both internal and corporate/external), and provide transparent flow of financial information to Regional, Brand and Corporate Head offices.
The FA will also business partner the Australian and New Zealand Sales & Marketing teams in providing systems support, drive process improvements and assist the Business Planning and Controlling Team in the budgeting process & in ad-hoc projects.
In this role, you will:
 Develop your knowledge around wine & spirits industry and learn about MH brands DNA.
 Learn to deal with ambiguity in a three dimensions’ company: Region, Brand Owner & Country.
 Improve your understanding of key performance indicators and how to interpret the results to be able to assist business decisions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting & Actual analysis
o Produce & ensure an accurate and timely reporting of financial and management reporting data from financial systems (ex: Weekly sales, monthly reports, dashboards, with data analysis against prior year and budgets Variance analysis against prior year, budget, LE, Overheads Reporting)
o Proactively identify key variances, investigate causes and make recommendations
o Circulate to internal & external stakeholders and follow up with MHANZ Team to coordinate answers to Maison/Region questions on all the above
Forecasting data management
o Assist Commercial Analysts in producing Budgets, Latest Estimates, ‘Landing’ Estimates and 5 Year Plans
Process improvements
o Continuously improve systems and tools to increase reporting accuracy, improve checks and controls, reduce preparation time and enhance efficiency.
o Work with local Brand Managers to ensure adherence to financial guidelines
Ad hoc analysis
Participate to ad-hoc projects to support the Controlling team in the development of Business tracking and market performance analysing tools.
People
Be an active participant in the Finance community and the team by living the values of MHANZ. In addition:
o Receive coaching and feedback from Business Partners through regular one on one meetings and incorporate development opportunities into Managers regular one on one discussions
o Provide feedback to Business Partners to enhance working relationships
o Coach Business Partners on understanding Financial and Commercial analysis, KPIs and reports and
o Be a team player and provide continuous improvement to the deliverables of the Business Controlling Team.
Professional experience & know how :
- Possess excellent analytical and interpretative skills.
- Be familiar with reporting Tools (SAP, Essbase) could be a plus.
- Previous experience within the Wine or Liquor Industry will be highly regarded
Technical & management skills :
- Strong computer literacy.
- Advanced EXCEL skills
