Overview
Designer jewellery brand Missoma is looking for a Sales, Marketing & Admin Intern for a period of 6 months minimum.
Available immediately, your main role will be assisting the General Manager / Creative Director in Sales, Online Marketing, Website, Press, Social media & Production.
Missoma is a small team of 4 set within a larger parent / group company. An internship with us will give you a unique opportunity to have a 360 degree view of how a fashion / jewellery business is run, and be trained up by an experienced manager, and be part of a busy team.
We are looking for someone hard-working, reliable, with good initiative and a positive attitude, who is happy to help out with all tasks.
Description of Roles
Below is a summary of the key roles you will be undertaking during your internship:
SALES:
- Sales research: Identifying and building up a Contact Database of potential shops in key markets
- Undertaking Competitor stockist research
- Email Marketing: Sending buyer mail outs
WEBSITE
- Uploading new product info and helping to update stock levels
- Updating blog, press and homepage
- Processing online shop orders
- Responding to online Customer Service enquiries
ONLINE MARKETING / SOCIAL MEDIA
- Implementation of social media strategy, by managing Instagram / Facebook accounts & monitoring effectiveness of social media strategy
- General Marketing research (assessing online opportunities for Emarketing, Competitions, Promotions etc.)
- Email Marketing: Sending newsletters to subscriber lists & monitoring effectiveness of each campaign
PRESS
- Maintaining & updating a current list of press contacts on our database
- Helping with press gifting & mail outs (about new launches, trends, calendar events)
- Processing all Sample Requests & chasing up returns
POST PRODUCTION
- Quality Control / Processing orders / assisting GM in stock room
GENERAL ADMIN
- General research (packaging, printing, display etc.)
- Photo Summaries for wholesale orders
Desired profile
Skills required:
The ideal candidate witll have:
- Good spoken English & telephone manner
- Good skills in Word & Excel
- Good knowledge of Social Media channels (Instagram, Facebook etc.)
- Good attention to detail
- A highly organized work ethic & be able to work quickly and efficiently
- The ability to work as part of a team with the designers, brand manager and general manager
- The ability to multi-task and prioritise efficiently
- A basic business and marketing understanding would be useful, as well as an interest in luxury / designer jewellery or fashion brands
