This is a unique opportunity to work at Microsoft Station Q Copenhagen, and interact with other Station Q sites around the world. As a company, we are exploring and developing the future of quantum. Station Q Copenhagen is one of the locations for our quantum program along with Station Q sites in Delft, Copenhagen, UC Santa Barbara, and Redmond. This position is an opportunity to get in at the start of this new intense phase.

We are seeking a Fabrication Engineer at Station Q Copenhagen and the Center for Quantum Devices, Niels Bohr Institute, at the University of Copenhagen.   Here we are focused on development of new hybrid semiconductor-superconductor platforms for topological quantum computing.  

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

-Design and Fabricate nanoelectronic devices for topological quantum computing applications.

-Test and characterize quantum computing devices at room temperature and low temperature.

-Develop recipes for device fabrication to optimize performance and yield.

-Assist in optimizing design of quantum computing devices.

-Develop automatic testing methods for devices.

-Assist in training staff and students in nanofabrication.

-Assist in tool maintenance and repair.

-Coordinate with materials growers, cleanroom staff, and measurement staff to optimize workflow and device optimization.
