If so, the Premier Field Engineering team is looking for you to join their team as a Dynamics AX Premier Field Engineer.
Role Purpose
Premier Field Engineering (PFE) is part of Microsoft’s Services Organization. PFE provide various services to our biggest and most complex Enterprise customers to increase systems availability, resolve critical issues, and ultimately improve the health of our customers’ environments. We work with experienced technical staff to ensure they have the skills to troubleshoot and maintain their solution in line with Microsoft best practices. Premier Field Engineering (PFE) delivers onsite and dedicated services for Microsoft’s Premier customers in EMEA.
PFE Delivers:
• Onsite proactive and reactive services to our Premier and Premier Mission Critical (PMC) customers such as Performance and Code Review
• Short term engagements through Rapid Onsite Support and proactive engagements (workshops & health checks)
• Long term engagements with Dedicated Support Engineering to assist Customer's Roll Out strategy as main trusted technology advisor
We need individuals that:
• Possess deep technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX and can solve complex technical problems through sound, creative troubleshooting. You will also need to be able to examine possible workarounds and escalations as required
• Communicate with Microsoft customers (verbal, written and face to face correspondence) regarding technically complex issues about Microsoft software products and manage relationships with those customers at various levels from CIO to the technical staff on the ground.
• Set an example of excellence as a Microsoft representative, enhancing the company's image and reputation through your credibility, preparation, commitment and first-class delivery.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic on-going customer relationships, gain trust and respect for the company.
• Enjoy team work to collaborate and/or lead efforts from resolving customer issues to helping define long term strategic goals.
• Ability to use debugging skills and source code access to troubleshoot and isolate problems to a component level.
• Collaborate with other technical teams (Support, Product Group etc.) at Microsoft to deliver solutions to customer issues
• Available to travel to a customer’s site and work remotely as needed
Experience
• Experience in the enterprise customer arena
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Face-to-face or remote customer engagement skills
• Troubleshooting knowledge & skills
• ERP implementation project experience
• Degree qualification or equivalent experience
• MCSE, MCSD, MCP’s qualification
Technical Experience
Dynamics AX Premier Field Engineers should be experienced in implementing, operating, tuning and troubleshooting Dynamics AX systems, ideally in multiple industries.
• architectural knowledge of Dynamics AX 2012/2012 R2/2012 R3 (note: Dynamics AX 2009 is optional)
• Development experience preferred (X++)
• Experience in system architecture and capacity planning
• Troubleshooting SQL Server skills & experience (Performance monitoring, SQL Profiler, SQL Extended Events)
• Advanced Dynamics AX Performance Troubleshooting experience (DynamicsPerf, TraceParser)
• Microsoft accreditation in Dynamics AX SQL and/ or Windows preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services
The following areas may also be beneficial:
• Debugging skills (ability to troubleshoot issue using debugger)
• Knowledge of Visual Studio Web Performance and Load Testing
• Knowledge in Infrastructure Sizing of Dynamics AX environments
• Good understanding of ITIL/Service Management and SureStep Methodology.
• Development experience in .NET languages (C#)
