Are you passionate about mobile & cloud computing and their potential to transform the way small businesses deliver value to their customers? This is a great opportunity to get involved in Microsoft’s new mobile-first, cloud-first strategy by creating new solutions that enable small businesses to build and maintain connections to existing and potential customers.    

We are looking for highly motivated Software Engineers to explore new applications and services that address the important small business customer segment as part of Microsoft’s suite of Office 365 products. These applications will be available across all prominent operating systems and devices with services deployed in Azure. In addition to the new applications and services, this group will also explore ways to deliver these applications and services faster leveraging best practices from startups.    

We are looking for developers with experience in developing applications for iOS and Android platforms. Outlook Mobile, Yammer, and MileIQ development teams tackle a wide variety of problems, from networking and web services to leading edge UI design on iOS and Android platforms; you can expect to build a wide range of skills and experiences. As a Software Engineer, you have strong design and coding skills, quick learning abilities, and confidence to ship reliable software.    

What You’ll Need:  

- A degree in CS or higher  

- 2+ years software development experience in native iOS and/or Android  

- Strong coding and problem solving skills  

- Server and/or service experience is preferred but is not a must  

- Able to ramp up new technologies fast    

Additional skills that are not required but that would be immediately beneficial:  

- Released apps in the App Store and/or Google Play  

- A wide range of technical domain specific expertise such as: User Interfaces, OS fundamentals, Performance, Security, Automation frameworks. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
