OPPORTUNITY

The Michelin Starr facility has an immediate opening for a candidate wanting to work in a manufacturing environment for a top-rated employer in the Upstate.

Come join our team at Michelin’s modern and growing rubber manufacturing plant located in Anderson, SC. Our innovative teams produce rubber for ultra-high performance, passenger car, light truck, and mining tires with the newest technology and materials, then send to tire-building plants all over North America. 

MISSON:

·  Ensure quality progress performance in your area of responsibility (shop or groups of shops)
·  Monitor and apply best practices in you area of responsibility.
·  Work with Local R&D teams to help bring new materials (rubber compounds, Metallic/Textile Tissues, raw materials) to Market.
·  Assists Manufacturing in troubleshooting and solve problems related to daily production.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

·  Delivered products are compliant with quality planning models and are manufactured in compliance with obtention standards. 
·  Quality and productivity performances comply with goals defined by the shop.  Right the first-time principles are applied.
·  Customer risks, product compliance and quality performance risks are anticipated.  Actions to reduce risks are implemented.
·  Analyzes quality results (new products, materials, complaints, nonconformities, etc.) and identifies the necessary corrective actions.
·  All customers complaints are processed appropriately. Effectiveness of implemented actions is demonstrated. Causes of anomalies and nonperformance are resolved and are incorporated into the progress plan.
·  Establish customer/supplier specifications and follows up on associated indicators.
·  Follows up on process performance in terms of capability and productivity and takes part in ensuring permanent improvements are made.
·  Ensures mentoring of operators (including the quality correspondents) to improve application of manufacturing standards and reaction in the event of deviation.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Seeking candidates with BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Process or Chemical preferred) Chemistry or Physics.
·  The position is open to new College graduates, however, Internships, Co-Ops or previous work experience in a manufacturing environment are a plus.
·  Effective problem-solving skills, with experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis for systems and processes is a plus.
·  Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
·  Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office Tools and Power Bi.
