THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate opening in Lexington, South Carolina for a Materials Industrialization Technician whose responsibilities include testing and assessing the industrial performance of new materials in the facility, coordinating their industrialization and deployment to meet tire performance criteria and ensuring that the new materials meet their technical specification consistently over time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

·  Work on documentation for testing the new materials in accordance with technical specification.
·  Create the test plan and share it with the teams involved in the industrialization process.
·  Conduct tests and collect necessary samples for lab analysis.
·  Study potential improvements to the materials industrial parameters to ensure conform processability.
·  Lead Quality Planning for new materials, identifying best practices and methods for their implementation.
·  Analyze the lab results and find root causes for materials’ behavior in the facility

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

·  You should have Engineering degree in Chemistry or Materials Science and at least 3 years of previous experience in the field of Chemistry or Materials Science fields.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
·  Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
·  Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge.
·  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems.
·  Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements is preferred.
·  Attention to detail, data accuracy.
·  Act as liaison between the North American and French partners, in order to ensure good communication of results and search for solutions when issues arise.
