MISSION: 
Working with the Company’s full-time staff, the Student Co-op/Intern Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing manufacturing processes. They will identify and implement cost reduction, quality, efficiency, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope. They will work towards implementation of lean methodologies to optimize labor and space utilization. They will work to promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement

.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
•    Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations
•    Develops plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing
•    Assists in development of baseline data for labor improvement projects
•    Provide day to day shop floor support. 
•    Develop new processes for high efficiency & cost effectiveness
•    Work with multi-functional team to achieve plant goals
•    Troubleshoots problems with processes and hardware
•    Coordinates with others in order to determine problems and implement solutions
•    Provides technical assistance as needed by internal customers
•    Provide support & guidance to team to meet daily work demands
•    Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
•    Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
•    Must be able to work in hot conditions, be able to work at a fast pace.
•    Must be willing to interact with manufacturing personnel in an industrial setting.
•    Must be willing to arrange schedule to work on off-shifts as necessary to accommodate the operations.

Michelin is currently searching for enthusiastic college students looking for full time Industrial Engineering Internship opportunities in Manufacturing.

Mandatory Requirement:

·  Effective communication skills.
·  Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
·  Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States pursuing an Industrial Engineering or related degree.
·  Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
·  MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
·  Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
