THE OPPORTUNITY
Michelin has an immediate opening in for a Corporate Environmental Engineer for the Americas Zone who will craft, implement, and evaluate solutions to environmental problems within North, Central, and South America and collaborate with the Global environmental team. Focus will be on volatile organic compounds. Using the tools and guidelines from the Global and Americas steering committee and the Michelin Environmental Management System (SMEP) to ignite progress in environmental protection and sustainability across more than 30 sites. WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Conduct site assessments and environmental audits to identify potential hazards and impacts. Support sites with corrective actions if needed. (ISO 14001)
· Provide sites with mentorship on environmental reports, permits, and plans to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
· Develop and test environmental models and simulations to predict outcomes and optimize performance.
· Support and coordinate the installation and operation of pollution control and waste management systems.
· Research and develop new methods and technologies for environmental improvement.
· Drive and track progress in key environmental domain areas (biodiversity, VOC reduction, CO2 reduction, waste reduction, water conservation, energy reduction).
· Use digital platforms for the tracking and management of data and objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Recognized degrees and Experience in the Environmental domain
- Industrial experience preferred
- Experience with an environmental management system
- Experience with or ability to learn volatile organic compounds
