MISSION:

The Electrical Support Technician is directly responsible for repairing, maintaining and providing support for the production controls equipment. Production Controls Equipment may include mechanical, electrical, PLS, HMI, SCADA, Vision systems, Robots and Servo. Ability to learn all applicable software formats. Key Expectations:

Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting and repairing of all production machinery/equipment.

Responsible to assist in implementation of automated industrial assembly machines and production lines utilizing robotics, linear motion components and conveyors.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.

Provide support and assistance to other mechanics as needed.

Calibrate and adjust equipment as required or scheduled.

Troubleshoot, install, and maintain equipment which includes pneumatics, hydraulics, servos, variable frequency drives, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, push buttons and other such integrations.

Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.

Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Requirements:

Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience

Strong understanding of electrical safety. Some work is done in live electrical panels.

Basic knowledge of programming PLC’s, such as RS Logix 500 and RS Logic 5000

Knowledge of variable frequency drives, Servo Drive, and motors

Ability to access and troubleshoot equipment using laptop computer with PLC Programming

Basic knowledge and experience Vision System

Ability to read Electrical Schematics for diagnostic and repair.

Knowledge of communications such as Device Net, DH+, Ethernet, RS 232, RS 485, and Modbus

Knowledge of Routers, Switches Ethernet, Serial, and Industrial Standard

Knowledge of various sensors such as flow meters, proximity, fiber optics, thermocouples and RTD’s

Knowledge of Auto CAD Electrical and Microsoft Suite Program

Demonstrates proficiency in day-to-day requirements.

Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and capacities, products, and production processes

Effective communication skills with peers, management, employees, customers, and vendors

Structured, organized, and well-spoken

Takes initiative, works with a minimum of supervision

Collaborates with others to solve problems and willingly help others when assistance is needed

Assist in Training of new technicians

Maintain accurate records of maintenance/repair activities
