THE OPPORTUNITY

The Disability Management Services Case Manager supports employees by providing clear communication and direction to reduce stress during a moment that matters. The Case Manager will provide disability case management and claim determinations based upon objective medical documentation. Telephonic case management will include, but is not limited to, closely working with employees to best evaluate each case, interpreting the applicable disability plan, determining benefits, ensuring timely claim reviews and outside vendor evaluation/referrals while maintaining consistent communication with required parties.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Greenville, SC and requires a hybrid in-office work schedule.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

·  Telephonically handle disability and leave of absence claims so that employees can return to work no sooner and no later than medically possible.
·  Analyze, approve, and authorize assigned claims to determine benefits due to the employee.
·  Apply the appropriate clinical resources (ex: duration guidelines, in-house clinicians) in case assessment to ensure timely case resolution and compliance with all requisite regulations.
·  Communicate clearly and effectively with employee and Michelin on all aspects of the claims process including required documentation, deliverables and deadlines, payment information and status updates.
·  Determine benefits due, ensure timely claim reviews and clearly communicate throughout the process.
·  Partner with employees, managers, Occupational Heath Nurses and HR business partners throughout the claims process.
·  Coordinate efforts to ensure consistency, respect for facts and a detailed review of contested claims.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

·  Bachelor’s degree or professional experience with the right competencies
·  Experience with Microsoft Office products
·  3+ years proven experience with disability case/claims management
·  Desire for lifelong learning/upskilling
·  Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
·  Progress / Continuous Improvement mentality a plus
·  Willing to work hybrid in-office schedule
