Position Overview:                       

Serve as the company’s Sr. Analyst responsible for the stewardship of the company’s master data assets, ensuring master data accuracy and integrity. Facilitate the development and implementation of enterprise master data management systems, processes and procedures to ensure data accuracy, centered on use of SAP S4HANA as the company’s ERP, in support of the company’s business. Serve as the company’s evangelist for promoting good master data management practices. Collaborate with companies outside consultants and business partners to successfully implement, maintain and manage a comprehensive Enterprise Master Data Strategy.

This role will be primarily focused on the company’s SAP S4HANA ERP implementation project. For the project, the Sr. Analyst will lead the performance of business data activities in support of data transformation and migration. Examples of business data activities include data profiling and cleansing of legacy source data, defining data mapping and transformation logic, data preparation, supporting mock data loads, and data validation and reconciliation.

Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·  Serves as a liaison and point of contact for master data needs both internally and externally; such as integration needs with SAP S4HANA ERP and other company information systems for the Article Master Data requirements.
·  Promote expansion of good master data management practices and use of the master data management solution in additional areas of the business along with promoting data management / ownership and shift mindsets.
·  Partner with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize current and future requirements and opportunities for enhanced returns from the enterprise master data management solution.
·  Facilitate the development and implementation of enterprise master data management systems, processes and procedures (collectively “enterprise master data governance solution”) to ensure data accuracy, centered on use of SAP S4HANA as the company’s ERP, in support of the company’s business.
·  Collaborate with company business and technology team members to manage all aspects of the enterprise master data governance solution including planning, standards approach, deployment, daily operation, and training.
·  Maintain policies and standards for end-to-end data governance, from master data creation through final destruction.
·  Define data governance operational processes (e.g., data quality measurement) in line with policies and standards, clearly articulating roles & responsibilities. Communicate the data lifecycle processes for master data management to ensure integrity and accuracy in delivery of data for both internal company use and external business partner use.
·  Monitor and measure compliance to data standards & processes. Manage all aspects of analytics/metrics as it relates to enterprise master data (completeness, quality, etc.) and communicate relevant information to MDM business partners. Define and measure milestones and criteria for success and provide regular reporting on progress to Master Data Leadership.
·  Responsible to provide definition of data source and data volume for migration of each object.
·  Perform data corrections / cleansing in source data or manage cleansing efforts across other data cleansers.
·  Identify and design required data extraction programs and definition data extraction according to required formats.
·  Participate in the data mapping from source to target system and the definition of transformation rules.
·  Responsible for the validation of Data Load Files.
·  Responsible for the creation of manual data files (as required).
·  Responsible for pre and post-load data signoffs.
·  Participate in testing of the data load programs and issue resolution.
·  Responsible for the validation of loaded data on target system vs source systems.

Qualifications:

·  Minimum 4 years delivering complex data management engagements including all phases of the project life cycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live.
·  A minimum of 3 years Implementation experience and knowledge in the following three areas of Master Data Management, Data Governance & Data Quality.
·  Experienced in business partners (customers & vendors masters), merchandise hierarchy / category & article master.
·  Must be willing to travel at times during the project.
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·  Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment.
·  Highly organized and detail-oriented.
·  Team-player with excellent relationship-building.
·  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or equivalent work experience.
·  SAP and or S4HANA experience preferred.
·  Experience in in the Retail / Fashion Industry preferred.
