Mission:
To support the development and execution of internal communications initiatives for the North America Communications team in alignment with business priorities and regional company culture, and Global External Communications projects.
The scope includes fostering employee engagement through the implementation of internal communications initiatives, event management and change communications
Campaigns & Programs
- Creating, improving and deploying internal communications campaigns across the region, using a variety of media to ensure messages reach their target (e.g. promoting face-to-face, web calls & e-mail) using materials such as presentations, mailings, infographics, info cards, etc.
- Partner with the NA Communications Project Coordinator on the organization and logistics of internal events, site events and campaigns
- Propose new and innovative ideas to foster employee engagement, maintain morale and evangelize the Merial strategy.
Change Management
- Support the change management communications related to:
- The framework of the Boehringer Ingelheim project, including preparing communications materials and working with managers to brief their teams.
- The ongoing business transformation aligned to the Merial business strategy. This will involve liaising with the HR team.
Web-based/digital Communication
- Coordinate the internal communication needs of the region, including creating and updating visuals, writing news articles
- Liaise with the webmaster and Global Communications team to create, curate and publish region specific content across internal and external digital platforms.
- Optimize and develop the Merial intranet sites: working in close contact with the site webmaster to propose new ideas and ways to optimize the user experience.
- Supporting the development of content, supporting in preparing regular communication materials.
- Support corporate identity and presentation related requests
Editorial & Storytelling
- Support the NA Communications team’s internal communications efforts to create a dynamic and engaging dialogue with employees. Make complex concepts simple utilizing storytelling through various media – video, infographics and photo articles.
Measurement
- Manage the reporting – to create visibility of the function. Working to maintain and develop the team’s key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure we can accurately measure effectiveness.
Profile:
Communications/Marketing studies or any related business subject which is relevant. Master’s Degree or equivalent
Two years of experience in a communications or marketing team, preferred in a company (internship, apprentice or contract).
Able to work well independently, as well as in a team environment. Work well in ambiguity and with limited direction. Keen judgment and decision making skills. Exceptional project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks. Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook. Experience in SharePoint would be an advantage. Proficiency using social platforms (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn). Content curation. Interest or knowledge of website design would be an advantage as would some graphic design skills. Awareness of the latest internal communications, as well as digital marcomms and social media trends.
