Job description
An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Product Manager to join a leading company specialising in own label sun care, hair care & hair colour development for major UK and Northern European retailers. Working as part of a small friendly team, you will be supporting a Product Manager on managing and growing major retail accounts. This is a busy and interesting role with varied responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, well organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
The Assistant Product Manager will ensure the smooth running of the accounts and will work closely alongside the Product Manager in:
- Creating internal and external presentations from a brief such as business reviews tracking sales trends and market trend analysis
- Use of retailer internet based systems to analyse sales and update product information
- Promotional sales tracking and impact analysis
- Proofing product artwork
- Detailed stock management and analysis, liaising with production sites and sales and supply department to ensure stock levels are maintained
- Understanding, tracking and updating customer project critical paths as they progress and undertaking key tasks to move the project forward
- Launching new products / re-launches /managing pack changes / updating artwork in line with legislation changes
- Developing new product claims and pack copy working with the Technical Manager
- Keeping up to date with market trends and how these influence and affect the accounts
- Supporting Product Manager in day to day communication with customers and answering customer queries
- Working with all other departments - technical, business development, sales and supply and finance to ensure the smooth running of the accounts

- Full driving licence with own car and willingness to travel overseas to Europe on occasion when required
