Job Overview:
Based in Dublin and working within the Risk & Performance team. Key skills for this role are strong and accurate numerical skills, strong communication ability and interest in investment performance analysis.
Business Overview:
Mercer Investment's Delegated Solutions function is a dedicated, global asset management business that provides comprehensive investment solutions utilizing a multi-manager investment philosophy with investment business in the Europe, U.S., Canada and Australia.
Delegated Solutions Europe was established back in 2006 and currently has a fund range of over 50 Irish domiciled funds across 4 legal structures with assets under management of approximately $50bn.
Job Responsibilities :
· Liaising closely with internal and external parties to ensure accurate and timely production of client and fund performance analysis.
· Preparation of high quality, informative performance and risk analysis for internal decision support or client communication.
· Analysis of change in pension fund solvency status to facilitate informative and accurate reporting of both performance and attribution of the performance experienced
· Assisting in the further development and implementation of performance attribution on both fixed income and equity portfolios
· Development of added value on investment performance analysis for both internal consumption and client communication
· Work with, and provide support for, other members of the investment team
Desired profile
Experience:
· The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in an investment management or investment consultancy environment, preferably as an investment or performance analyst.
· The candidate should have strong numerical and communication skills both written and oral. · Honours Primary degree in a Science, Engineering, Finance or Business related subject ideally with an Honours Masters degree in Finance or related subject and/or CFA qualifications.
IT Skills:
· Strong IT skills including advanced spreadsheet skills; familiarity with investment risk systems such as Barra or Bloomberg, would be an advantage but is not a requirement.
