Job description

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the growth of the digital footprint for innovative and digitally focused Mercer solutions to ensure that we create a rich, personalized and relevant e-commerce enabled experiences for our audiences. This includes the creation of awareness, generating leads, supporting the team to close sales and foster repeat purchases in a start-up environment that thinks big and operates lean. The ability to adapt plans with agility and speed based on the insights and activity of our end users is critical. The role reports to the Global Marketing Leader of the Innovation and is a member of the Mercer Corporate Marketing team.

Implement and optimize a digitally focused demand gen/e-commerce strategy:

· Implement key building blocks for a digital marketing channel for both B2B and B2C initiatives including content, search optimization, viral/ referral based distribution and campaigns, and use of social media

· Implement demand generation channels and flow including list development and outbound tele support

· Manage and optimize the roll-out strategy initially across the US, and globally as directed

· Execute reporting and data analytics to measure leads, conversions, sales, insights

· Support the development and implementation of a distribution strategy for internal clients and prospects working with Mercer colleagues across markets, and lines of business as well as at events.

· Achieve revenue targets for the digital channels as set through the business planning process

· Work with the Mercer Innovation Hub and innovation teams and Mercer sales teams to engage their help in creating and executing a seamless lead qualification and funnel strategy Develop and implement the digitally focused marketing strategy:

· Identify key drivers, Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) that facilitate successful digital scale and optimization

· Manage the “offer” effectively in partnership with the COE's, including CRM initiatives and incentives to purchase to drive results

· Develop and adapt assets and tactical campaigns to drive both internal awareness and engagement, as well as external promotional activity, to secure our sales targets and establish a strong e-commerce platform.

· Secure insights from our targeted segments along with buying behaviors to match with product features and functionality, and campaigns.

· Clear communication of work being done, deliverables and timeframes so other team members can manage their agendas

· Project management and co-ordination with other colleagues who will assist with the delivery of various services, assets, and outcomes

· Use insights to inform ongoing product development

Desired profile

·  Bachelor Degree or higher, with major in marketing, business, technology preferable. Training in or experience with behavioral psychology and consumer behavior would be highly desirable.

·  10+ years experience in digital strategy and marketing
Skills

·  Demonstrated skills in demand generation, including lead generation and sales support integration.

·  A proven track record in employing digital technology, channel innovation, and social media to drive lead generation and sale

·  Excellent project management skills with strong orientation toward execution and implementation

·  Ability to target new channels and develop new markets

·  Ability to adapt to market and client needs with agility and flexibility

·  Ability to engage partnerships, sponsorships and channel activity

·  Ability to create and edit content for all mediums

·  Experience with Marketo is required,

·  Experience with Salesforce is required

·  B2C experience a plus
