Job description
Position Description (brief summary of job purpose):
Participate in the mapping of, development and improvement of business systems and processes to produce a high-quality product at optimal cost. Act under general supervision of Engineering Manager or other Engineering staff on multiple assignments. Must be able to own a project deliverable within the internship timeline.
Position Responsibilities (in bullet form, describe the key accountabilities or deliverables of the position):
§ Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction :
§ Work with engineering and business team to map ECT value streams internal and external to BPK
§ Work with engineering and business team to identify opportunities within the Value Stream for improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and/or Cost metrics.
§ Production Support and Trouble Shooting :
§ Work with engineering to understand, improve, and take action in manufacturing business system support tools such as, but not limited to eDHR.
§ Electronic DHR and Tech Writing
§ Assist engineers in making updates to the Electronic Data Records system (eDHR)
§ Assist Engineering in changes requiring CO support via Agile, Documentum, or otherwise

· Ability to gown appropriately and enter the clean room for extended periods of time
· Ability to work on 2 nd shift
· Sit for extend periods of time
· Use of Computer for extended periods of time
· Less than 10% travel

Desired profile
Basic Qualifications (basic skills and experiences necessary to perform the job: must be relevant, objective, and non-comparative):
· B.S. in progress in one of the majors listed or an equivalent field: Operations, Business Systems, Supply Chain
· 2+ years of college completed towards an engineering degree.

· Previous internship experience
· Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
· Experience in a GMPregulated environment
· Manufacturing line layout / Value Stream Mapping experience
