This job is for the Medtronic HeartWare Business.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator III demonstrates quality in all actions; Perform work in, outbound logistics, and support general procurement and service activities that effect the entire supply chain. Monitor inventory levels and communicate purchasing and planning of potential shortages. Monitor availability of finished goods inventory and update as necessary. Perform cycle count of assigned inventory locations and resolve discrepancies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inbound/Outbound Logistics
• Coordinate shipments to European Distributors and US Hospitals
• Categorize materials and supplies on shelves, racks or in the specified warehouse locations.
• Monitor assigned inventory locations through different inventory reports and communicate discrepancies and shortages to purchasing and manufacturing.
• Perform weekly cycle count of assigned inventory locations.
• Interacts with freight company vendors, negotiating pricing and service levels
• Interacts with supply vendors for logistics departments requirements

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
• Maintain the following reports;
• Logistics Performance – On Time Delivery/Shipments
• Inventory management – Inventory levels

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and results driven with strong analytical skills
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and data management
• Service oriented
• Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Willing and able to work flexible hours
• Ability to prioritize/schedule activities in support of R&D and Operations

 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• 2 years in analytical or accounting transactional environment
• 6 months-2 years in materials management within a manufacturing environment
• 6 months-2 years in a regulated industry with preference for medical devices
• Previous MRP experience

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
• QAD-systems (mfg. pro)
• The ability to read drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and inspection methods
• Supplier Auditing Experience
• Engineering experience or education
• QAD MFG-PRO is a plus

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed inside a professional office environment/office building, with ambient temperature and under florescent lighting, with minimal noise levels. Incumbent routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, phone, filing cabinets and fax machines.
