Sales Representative- PMR - Patient monitoring and Recovery

in this role you will cover the consumable range of items within the PMR portfolio. These therapies include Enteral feeding, Woundcare, Urology, Airway therapies and breathing, DVT compression,  Temperature control and Suction.

The main points of call being ICU, Wards and Supply Chain.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To sell the full range of Medical Devices in a professional manner to the Public Sector Hospitals and related healthcare professionals and to build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage and gain greater market share at all times.

 

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•       Promoting current and new products – budgets and focus product incentives.

•       Management by objectives, accountability is the key issue

•       Set personal and professional goals in an ongoing attempt to drive new business sales and gain competitor market share and still maintain and grow current market share.

•       Complete all administrative tasks punctual and accurate within given deadlines – planners and reports, leave forms, expense claims and other.

•       Building relationships and provide an excellent before and after sales service – as detailed below:

º       Maintain a scrub rate of 10 per week. Three of the scrubs must be new business (not previously used products) – this constitutes a: scrub

º       Maintain a call rate of 10 surgeon room calls per week where a product is discussed and a full demonstration is conducted – this constitutes a: detailed call

º       Visit all your theatre and pharmacy stock-controllers every week to discuss new products, consignment stock, problem solving and value adding suggestions – this constitutes a: Follow up call

º       Have one monthly set appointment with all pharmacy managers for new products and problem solving discussions – this constitutes a: Business development call

º       Set 8 monthly appointments for new product and problem solving discussions with theatre matron - this constitutes a: service call

º       Have 1 in-service training per week with theatre staff once a week for the duration of 1 hour and this constitutes a: in service training

º       Representatives to carry and maintain a uniform bag as issued by the marketing department. To be carried at all times whilst in the field.

•       Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Safety, Health & Environmental, and Quality Assurance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

•       Matric certificate

•       Relevant Degree or Diploma

•       Ability to understand and communicate detailed technical terminology

•       Sales experience in PMR an advantage

•       Ability to be comfortable in the ICU and theatre environment

•       Ability to work independently, as well as a team

•       Target driven with proven sales record

•       Aptitude to learn and understand anatomy, physiology and surgical procedures

•       Excellent communication skills on all levels and to all departments within a hospital

•       Strong selling skills

JOB EXPERIENCE

3 years’ experience in the expected field of work.

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES

Achievement and exceeding of sales budget, implementation of sales plan and growing existing business as well as managing customer relations at all levels in your territory. Effectively manage expense budget allocations as well as all consignment accounts.

 

Travel Required

25% travel requirement.
