We have expanded our injection molding operations and we now have 2 Focus Factories: Containers and Syringes.  This Quality Engineer position performs a variety of functions within the QA Department, including as a resource for the Focus Factories, and support the Quality system.  Promote and maintain all company policies.  Comply with the facility safety program and reports any unsafe conditions to management.

·  Serves as a Quality Assurance resource to assigned departments.
·  Reports to management on quality concerns, trends and costs.
·  Participates in product and process validations.
·  Performs analysis of customer complaints. Initiates corrective action requests (CAR) as required and follows up on CAR effectiveness.
·  Schedules and conducts internal and external audits; prepares and issues summarized reports; maintains quality surveillance of suppliers. Interface with supplier quality representatives concerning problems with quality and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
·  Participate in New Product Development to assure quality considerations are adequately covered in the design, testing, and release of materials, components, and products.
·  Analyzes causes of defects and participates in recommendation of corrective actions.
·  May supervise and schedule work of Quality personnel.
·  Participates in the designing of methods for evaluating product quality; establishes test programs to evaluate materials, processes and products.
·  Prepares inspection instructions, systems and procedures.
·  Initiates actions to dispose of nonconforming product.
·  Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Do you have this experience and these skills and qualifications?

·  2 year minimum Quality Assurance or other direct experience in a manufacturing environment.
·  Practical knowledge of FDA QSR 820, ISO13485 preferred
·  Plastics injection molding technology experience preferred
·  Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
·  Basic knowledge of statistical methods.
·  Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
·  Excellent problem solving skills.
·  Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
·  ASQ CQA or CQIT certification preferred.
·  The working conditions for this position are typical of an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and free of fumes and airborne particulate.
·  This position will spend 25-50% of their time on the manufacturing floor. When entering the manufacturing facility safety glasses and hearing protection are required.
