Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position has the responsibility and authority to support all activities relating to product production.  Includes, but is not limited to daily manufacturing and process support, product yield improvement, supplier support, floor layout, New Product Introduction, process definition and documentation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily production support; including tooling and fixturing problems, training personnel, etc. 

• Troubleshoots process failures or conducts laboratory activities in support of root cause and analysis and identification of corrective action in conjunction with yield improvement activities.

• Assists with process development and improvement activities. Supports the implementation and validation of process and product documentation.

• Support for cost reduction activities, including outsourcing for cost savings.

• All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.

• Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:  

• B.S. Degree in or currently enrolled in B.S. program for Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar program.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:  

• Statistical knowledge; DOE, SPC, etc

• Ability to read and work with technical drawings and/or electrical schematics.

• Experience in Windows applications including Microsoft Office.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
