Position Summary:

In this role, you will be joining a collaborative team of subject matter experts whose purpose is to support our customers beyond devices. The Cardiac and Vascular Group (CVG) provides leading-edge products, therapies and innovative solutions to Medtronic’s partners. The main purpose of this role is to be the front end of the CVG business; you will be leveraging your solid understanding of the health services industry and hospital operations knowledge to partner with key stakeholders and develop business models revolved around customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:
·  Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders in the customer environment, including clinicians, economic buyers, administrators and referrers, and act as Medtronic’s primary business liaison to be their preferred partner for business solutions in our industry.
·  Understand the business environment of our customers and provide tailored and innovative solutions to drive growth opportunities across our entire Cardiac & Vascular Group (CVG) portfolio, whilst maintaining profitability.
·  Consult for physician practices to develop and implement innovative new models to grow patient referrals, improve practice marketability, improve patient outcomes and increase patient access to Medtronic therapies.
·  Create and drive account business plans. Identify and prioritise business opportunities, drive execution externally and collaborate internally across different Functions and Business Units.
·  Demonstrate the economic value of Medtronic therapies to public hospitals and health insurers, and drive long-term strategies to win public hospital tenders.
·  Promote and sell Medtronic’s products and services
·  Ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards (including ISO13485) are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact
·  Operate as the key liaison for hospital c-suite, driving the Key Account Management process for the CVG portfolio. Identify growth initiatives, competitive threats and support the growth of unfunded / non-reimbursed technologies in our product pipeline with established scheme

Desired profile

Skills and experience:
·  3+ years experience in sales. Experience within medical devices or health services industry highly regarded
·  Prior experience in the management or the development of clinician private practices highly regarded
·  Solid understanding of internal workings of hospitals labs / theatres / departments / key influencers and tender processes
·  Solid understanding of internal processes within Medtronic, corporate agreements, legal, finance, regulatory, inventory, customer service and quality
·  Proven negotiation, influencing and communication skills
·  Solid clinical and technical knowledge
·  Solid knowledge of financial management and forecasting
·  Demonstrable track record developing and successfully executing on business plans and performance goals
·  Computer proficiency including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software
