Associate Product Manager - Coronary/RDN Business

Job description

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and driven early career Associate Product Manager who would support a broad range of marketing initiatives to protect and grow our expansive therapy delivery franchises.  Therapy Delivery franchises represent a significant portion of the Coronary Business and include premier marketing leading product segments such as POBA (balloon catheters), guide catheters, transradial products and a wide range of accessory products.  The therapy delivery market is approximately $2B.

The primary objective of this role would be to help execute a variety of marketing strategies in support of various Therapy Delivery product franchises; including areas of brand development, sales/marketing tactical plan and commercial execution strategies such as account targeting and segmentation, pricing, forecasting and evidence plan. In addition, the individual will also be integrated into commercialization plans for development projects and products.

Medtronic’s Coronary & Renal Denervation Division is focused on developing and commercializing leading technologies, including coronary stents and ancillary devices (Therapy Delivery), which are primarily implanted by Interventional Cardiologists. We have enjoyed significant double-digit growth within our business.  We also possess the most exciting pipeline in our industry. Our business is very global in nature with over two-thirds of revenue coming from outside the US (one-third coming from emerging markets).   Therapy Delivery technologies represent extremely exciting and diverse market segments that require creative thinking, detailed planning and execution of complex marketing plans, product management, and brand marketing focused on a variety of key influencers including both physician partners and cath lab staff.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Support product marketing managers in execution of strategies and tactical plans for therapy delivery products:

o Support ongoing product launch elements including assistance in creation of sales tools, marketing tools and training materials.
o Assist in communication and development of materials to summarize clinical data, competitive positioning and industry news
o Assist in development and implementation of marketing campaigns, programs and/or events to effectively reach customers, communicate positioning and messaging that differentiates portfolio from competitors and drives positive association and influences purchase of products. 
o Assist in digital asset management

•Provide general marketing fundamentals for the team, such as coordination of conference activities, regional marketing partner support.
•Collaborate with global marketing counterparts to develop local expertise and help inform strategies. Provide support to global sales & marketing teams via sales training, regional customer programs and key account visits.
•Build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to understand elements of launch including market research, supply forecasting, tracking R&D updates, clinical evidence that complements product development and positioning strategies. 
•Develop objectives, work plans and measurements that are aligned with department strategies.  May independently direct projects and manage multiple responsibilities while simultaneously maintaining a clear focus on objectives and financial performance expectations.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years’ experience in a marketing, communications, sales or technical role in a corporate setting (1 year with Masters)
• Project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelors with a business focus or MBA a plus
• Brand/product marketing experience preferred
• Technical acumen considered a plus
• Direct knowledge of medical device industry and products a plus
• Analytical prowess/problem solving ability
• Strong skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
