POSITION DESCRIPTION:
THIS IS A TEMPORARY INTERNSHIP POSITION
Our Summer Associate Program offers internships to top graduate and undergraduate students. Even before you graduate, you will get a taste of our innovative, mission-driven culture, while gaining meaningful work experiences and improving lives. In addition to a challenging 12 week internship assignment, you'll have opportunities to experience our dynamic culture through a variety of networking, leadership, and social events.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Medtronic Diabetes is looking for driven Accounting students who wish to join a fast-paced team in a growing division of the world’s leading medical device manufacturer. Interns will work closely with finance professionals in a team-based environment. This intern position will perform general accounting duties for the Diabetes business unit.
Responsibilities include:
· Assist with general accounting responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
· Research and analysis
· Accounts Payable
· Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
· Currently enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program, majoring in Accounting
· Completed sophomore year by start of internship
· Experience with Microsoft Office tools
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous internship experience in the Medical Device Industry
· Excellent oral/written communication skills
· Fast learner and able to work in a team environment
