MSC UK prides itself on being the 'Employer of Choice’ within the shipping industry and we are looking to recruit an Export Operations Clerk to join our Port Operations team. The successful candidate will be a member of a team that provides all Export load lists, Hazardous Reports, special equipment within the timeframe specified to MSC Planning offices and UK Ports served by MSC. Plus weekend and Evening shifts covering waterclerk and drivers reception functions.
We believe the successful Export Operations Clerk should have the following skills:
• Driving licence
• Proven experience within the shipping industry
• Previous experience of Hazardous goods
• Computer literate
• Good communication skills
• Team player
• Able to use own initiative
The Key tasks for the Export Operations Clerk role are:
• Act as waterclerk during evenings and Weekends order vessels out overnight
• Evening support for drivers reception functions
• To provide MSC Planners with accurate loading information (Recap, OBL,ETC)
• Finalisation of hazardous 24hrs before vessels arrival with Medlog
• Making sure all containers are arrived on quay by deadline set, involving haulage and Export Trade desk to resolve
• Monitoring of vessels when in Port, to ensure smooth loading of cargo, any potential problems need to be advised to Trade Desks and tackled
• Updating of RFU (reefers) system to Geneva 12 hrs after vessel sailing
• Ensuring Post shipments are accurate and completed in a timely manner after departure, any short shipments are advise to Trade Desk
• Sending of Dangerous cargo information to Port Authorities
• Sending of accurate TLP / TLA (loading files) to north west continent agencies
• Sending load confirmation for Transshipment containers & MSC Agencies bookings
• Completion of TOR upon sailing of Vessels
