Medical Secretaries - Are you looking for more variety?
Graduate job Norwich (Norfolk) Administration
Job description
Fed-up of the same old thing month in and month out? Fancy something to get your terminology juices flowing?
We are looking for experienced Medical Secretaries and Medical Audio-typists to join our team. You would be offered work with our health sector clients in your preferred geographical locations and on days/times to suit you, and you only have to accept whatever tickles your fancy.
Medisec East is a specialist agency run by a team of Medical Secretaries. We only 'do' Medical Secretaries because that is what we know and understand. Our recruitment team members each have vast experience of working as Medical Secretaries in various health sector settings.
Medisec East has been supplying temporary Medical Secretaries and Medical Audio-typists to the health sector in the East of England for over 15 years. If a local NHS Trust, Private Hospital, Community Clinic or GP Surgery need a temporary Medical Secretary they trust us to find them the right person because they know that we fully understand their requirements.
So, you could be supporting the Cardiology team at a busy NHS Hospital one week, covering annual leave at a village GP Surgery the next and then covering planned sick leave for a PA in a Private Hospital for the following six weeks!
You must have plenty of relevant experience within the Health Sector. Good secretarial skills are a must. An AMSPAR or BSMSA qualification would be an advantage, as would experience of using health sector IT and digital dictation systems.
Accurate audio-typing skills at a good speed, and a proven knowledge of Medical Terminology, are essential.
28 days paid leave per annum. Potential increase to 35 days (T&Cs apply).
Salary negotiable depending on experience. Part-time or full-time hours considered. Hours to suit. A timesheet would be completed and submitted to Medisec East on a weekly basis.
A face-to-face interview at our office near Ipswich (IP9 2RL) is an absolute requirement of registration. At interview your ID and Right To Work documents would be checked and you would be asked to audio-transcribe some real NHS clinic letters so that your current skills could be accurately assessed.
A current DBS or CRB disclosure is required for work within the health sector. Medisec East can arrange this for you.
If you believe that variety is the spice of life, give us a call for a friendly chat.
Medisec East can also offer advice and training to applicants who currently lack the relevant skills to work as a temporary Medical Secretary.
