Job Title: Human Resource Administrator

Salary: - Competitive

Job Type: Part-time and Full-Time position available.

Hours: Flexible withmaximum of 37.5 per week.

Working Location:

Head Office is based in a Business Park in Denton, Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident individual who would like to join an energetic team within a national organisation. The successful candidate will benefit from a very professional working environment and friendly team.

We are seeking a Human Resource administrator. Working in a fast paced environment this position will be varied and will consist of the following:

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensuring that new and updated information is entered into HR and Payroll systems
  • Operating and developing the in-house payroll service using established systems and processes
  • Working with managers of different departments to coordinate the recruitment process; log applicant details; record responses; answer queries and send job details both by post and electronically.
  • Organise job interviews including interview schedules, informing candidates of outcomes and supplying relevant information prior to their interview. Requesting the required references for each candidate prior to interview, checking candidate ID and the and right to work in the UK.
  • Producing employment contracts, offer letters and HR forms for all new staff.
  • Notifying the relevant departments of new starter, internal job changes and leaver information and maintain and distribute relevant lists.
  • Maintaining and working to improve HR systems and databases both electronic and manual
  • Obtaining Barred List checks for all new staff. Issuing DBS forms and guidance to all staff. Process all DBS forms and details.
  • Ensuring the single central register is kept updated and contains DBS and staff information for all staff, Governor’s, supply staff and volunteers in line with Ofsted regulations, ensuring that a hard copy is printed out in full each month.
  • Preparing personnel files for new staff and maintaining manual and electronic filing systems.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks related to staffing.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Experience working within an administration role
  • Education/Qualification in HR and/or Payroll
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to enthuse, inspire, influence and motivate others
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent administration skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team

Ideally they will have:

  • Relevant work, training or further development
  • Experience working in a HR administration role.
  • Payroll experience
