JOB DESCRIPTION


Reporting to Sales Manager, the key account manager is to develop and manage direct Key Accounts in a specific region in Europe. Essential in this function is to fully understand the portfolio of Mean Well and match this with the needs of the (potential new) accounts.


 


It is important for this role to understand the markets in which Mean Well operates and gain knowledge about the trends, future products and the important players as well as to identify new potential markets for Mean Well products.


 


You will be managing some existing accounts, but the focus will be to identify and develop new accounts in the assigned regions.


 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


·         Develop and manage direct accounts in a selected region in the European market in order to achieve the team budget and team goals


·         30% travelling is required for face to face discussions with customers to discuss projects and to identify new opportunities and promote Mean Well products


·         Evaluating inquiries from potential customers, identifying potential new accounts and give product and development support


·         Leverage existing contacts to expand or develop business with potential new customers


·         Have good knowledge of all aspects of current customer business and support logistics and finance with new orders and invoice queries


·         Follow up projects throughout entire sales cycle, from concept discussion, quotation, sample submission until product approval and mass production


·         Anticipate and respond actively and sensitively in meeting the needs of internal and external customers. Initiate/ participate actively in customer satisfaction improvement actions


·         Support product manager by analyzing market conditions and competitor moves


·         Demonstrate a commitment to quality in his/her own work. Recognize that own output is another's input in the global sales team. Completes assignments in an accurate, thorough and timely manner


 


QUALIFICATIONS


·         Previous sales experiences is a must


·         Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related area of study (or learnt on the job)


·         Good knowledge of switch mode power supply market as well as it’s applications


·         Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time


·         Strong communication skills, able to work in virtual teams


·         Excellent organizational /prioritization skills


·         Strong sense of responsibility, respect timelines and schedules


·         Independent and highly self driven personality. No 9 to 5 attitude


·         The candidate must be fluent in French and English, or fluent in German and English


·         Proficient in Microsoft Office and understanding ERP system structure


·         Able to work in The Netherlands
