Tactical Data Analyst
Within McCurrach the role of Data Analyst plays a critical part in the excellent execution of all our tactical work undertaken. In this key role you will provide analytical support to the Tactical Business Unit, analysing and producing reports for every activity undertaken in store. Supporting the team through planning and providing analytical insight will be a key requirement of this role.
You must be able to initiate and follow through on projects, solve problems and meet deadlines with limited supervision. You must possess tact, diplomacy, a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
You will work as part of a team based at our Tactical Head Office in Warrington office, taking responsibility for day-to-day tasks as necessary. You will need to be organised, hard-working, and enthusiastic and be able to communicate confidently at any level.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and validate data captured by field team/s
- Produce client reports using Microsoft Excel/Access/PowerPoint
- Run queries and reports in Access to extract required data
- Collate results using Microsoft Excel/Access
- Design and produce questionnaires
- Create and mail merge in store paperwork for field team
- Maintain the company web portal via Microsoft Access
- Produce point of sale dispatch lists and proof of delivery reports
- Support line manager and operations team in various projects
- Support and assist the sales function in producing presentations
- Liaise and co-ordinate work with third party agencies
- Attend monthly meetings/conference calls
Skills Required
- Analytical approach to reporting and problem solving
- Must be numerate with a high level of accuracy
- Strong IT skills including:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher (desirable but not essential)
- Organised and able to manage multiple complex tasks to challenging deadlines
- Proactive and able to exhibit initiative
- Numerate with first class analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, tailoring to the needs of the audience
- Flexible, organised and focused on achieving objectives
- Able to manage your time and follow up on actions
- Strong reporting skills
- Be comfortable in a fast moving environment
- A team player with the ability to work to achieve shared objectives and targets
