Position Summary:

The Utility Operator is responsible for general packaging and other basic production duties as assigned.   This Position follows the Day shift schedule of 6AM to 6:30PM for 4 days on then 4 days off.

 

 

Essential Functions:

·  Moving packaged product off the production lines
·  Reading and verifying date codes
·  Packing off of the lines
·  Counting bones
·  Feeding bags onto the line
·  Inserting promotional materials into product packages
·  Making boxes/trays
·  Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
·  Active participation in the Safety Programs
·  Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude.
·   Demonstrate a food safety quality culture in actions, words and spirit.
·  General packaging and other productions duties as assigned

 

 

Education, experience and skills Requirements:

·  High school diploma or equivalent
·  Basic math and measuring skills
·  Basic reading and demonstrated ability to understand and execute work directives communicated in English
·  General organization skills
·  Manual dexterity
·  Attention to detail
·  Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
·  Familiarity with industrial environment

 

Physical Requirements:

·  Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Must be able to work under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high, and/or confined spaces and have full mobility to climb stairs and ladders
