Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Transportation Analyst Import / Export SC role is to be the primary contact point for the region for all finished goods Import and Export activity supporting Eukanuba. This person will oversee changes in product registration, create proper documentation, coordinate with production planning,3PL loading/receiving, transportation, and receiving inter-company entity
Key Responsibilities:
· Project management supporting new item registration and export product launches
· Import / Export Order management (receipt of order to filled container)
· Execute and submit required documentation and forms to customs officials (freight forwarder) including commercial invoices, international bills of lading, and other related shipping document to ensure completeness and accuracy
· Accurate and timely notification of any shipment / or product delays
· Maximize FTL capabilities
· Claims processing
· Support the statistical management of DFGO by SKU for traded (imported) stocks in local markets
· Identify / champion continuous improvement projects directly related to the import / export process or inter-factory flows of finished goods
· Other duties and responsibilities as defined
· Maintain current and up to date documentation for all import export activities
· Support 3PL partner in the day to day execution of import/Export activities
· Maintain and create process SOP’s as required
Context and Scope:
Working within the SC team position will utilize all forms of communication to monitor import/export of FG related to logistics functions. Will also utilize laptop, cell phone, Navision, WMS for reporting and analysis functions. There is a need for some travel for monitoring and relationship building with warehousing provider.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance or Supply Chain related preferred
· Customs House Brokers License / Certificate – Preferred
· Six Sigma / Lean Certification – Preferred
Knowledge and Experience:
· Broad knowledge of Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation processes
· Min 2 years of Import/Export experience
