Job Purpose/Overview
Responsible for MCCA good governance, control and golden process related to Tax & Treasury activities for the Unit. The associate is responsible for maintaining up to date on all tax changes and implications for MCCA units, Corporate Tax provision and individual unit/country tax filings and compliance. Responsible for managing cash accounts, including changes in signatures, users, and contacts, daily cash reports and cash forecast. Monitor the cash flow of the unit on a daily basis, making periodic analysis, ensuring all transactions having to do with treasury are recorded correctly and in accordance with the Finance Manual.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze, quantify and inform all tax changes impacting MCCA operations, on a yearly basis. It is crucial to maintain Unit up to date on all tax changes, as these occurs.
· Support Planning process by providing NCFO Tax payment forecast for the Operating plan, Re-plan and Year-end estimates.
· Responsible for periodic NCFO analysis of main drivers and year estimates as well as for the development of the year end forecasting.
· Ensure tax regulations are in compliance with established standard and filing with the relevant taxes authorities.
· Ensure compliance with "Sales and Use Tax" requirements and implications for PR, including import taxes, bonds, and certifications from the PRTD.
· Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise, assisted by our external service provider. Assist with IRS and state audits as they arise.
· Ensure the coordination of the statutory audit, year in year out, and resolve all possible queries.
· Ensure the efficient management of company’s bank accounts. Accountable for all timely reconciliation of Cash accounts for the Puerto Rico and International Market Reporting Entities. Responsible for reconciling of bank statements against the GL, and clearing accounts assigned.
· Ensure no open items are carried period over period for Unreconciled Cash Items for Puerto Rico and International Markets Bank accounts.
· Active participation on period balance sheet reviews.
· Ascertains proper controls over the Cash are in place and are effective. Highlight any risks and provide process recommendation improvements.
· Prepare NCFO Cash Forecast Submission for the assigned units, and ensure all other users report the forecast on a timely manner (W1D4).
· Maintain updated information regarding bank accounts, contacts, signatures, and user profiles on CITI Direct tool.
· Ensure periodic reconciliation of Intercompany Transactions and proper, timely submission in Helios Engine tool.
· Ensure periodic submission of Reporting Unit(s) closing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet in a timely manner.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
1. Education & Professional Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in BA (Major: Accounting/Finance). Fully bilingual (English and Spanish). This position works a fixed shift, day, in an office environment with air conditioning, under normal conditions. May require travel to training sessions or visits other units within the region (mainly for trainings).
2. Knowledge/Experience: At least two (2) year experience in Accounting. Full accounting cycle, general knowledge of tax implications. Microsoft Office (Excel), SAP (Accounting and costs) and PowerPoint knowledgeable.

Tax Management: The knowledge and application of tax regulations, case law, Mars’ policies and business practices in order to support the business by establishing and Implementing tax policies and tax planning strategies that can be consistently applied and reported in compliance with requirements set by tax governing bodies.
