The Role:

Here at Mars Petcare, we have a great opportunity for a Factory Co-Pilot to join the finance team based at our Wodonga site on a 6 month fixed- term contract. This role will be key in contributing to a high performing factory through financial analysis and insights, financial shaping and decision making and strategic development. Your primary focus will be overall factory P&L including primes, manufacturing conversion & manufacturing overheads as well as planning and cost of goods reduction.

As a value adding business partner and co-pilot of the local supply & supply chain teams, the role is responsible for reporting, planning and accounting for primes, manufacturing Conversion costs, logistics costs, manufacturing overheads and affiliate sales.

What you’ll do with Mars Petcare:

·  Calculating, analysing and reporting period end results for primes (R&P), manufacturing conversion costs (MCCs), local logistics costs (LCCs) (excluding market logistics), affiliate sales and accurate reporting within FPPS, SAP and various other business reports;
·  Active participant and finance representative of the SOG (Multiple technology site), curiously analysing issues and opportunities, driving results and leading Do it Best program. Providing clarity around the ‘so what’ and driving the ‘what now’;
·  Collating, analysing and reporting forecasts into the regional supply team, including periodic Supply metric, annual planning process and product costing standards;
·  Supporting the SOG with local capital projects, including assessment of project feasibility, accuracy of financial reporting, management of spend, governance of controls and identification of asset impairments.
·  Oversee local cost of goods sold (COGS) agenda and support local SOG on projects to ensure financial delivery of the COGS target;
·  Ensure financial reconciliation and tracking of COGS saving initiatives to the P&L;
·  Ad Hoc analysis/tasks/reporting for various stakeholders within S&F and Supply.

What we are looking for in a candidate for this role:

·  Degree Qualification in Accounting/ Finance;
·  Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on reporting software programs such as Helios & SAP;
·  Minimum of 3 years financial operations management experience;
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills;
·  Strong co-piloting capability and experience;
·  Strong influencing and negotiation skills;
·  Strong task and workflow management.
