Mars Wrigley Confectionery is looking for a Supply Excellence(TPM) Manager to work in Hackettstown, NJ.
The TPM Manager is a critical member of the site leadership team accountable for the overall implementation and success of Mars Supply Excellence (TPM) journey. As the factory MSE/TPM leader, they are responsible for creating transformative change at all layers of the organization by:
· Partnering with the site leadership team to develop the overall implementation strategy for MSE, then driving accountability to this strategy,
· Maturing all pillars in a phased progression in accordance with the site and regional strategy
· Building capability of all pillar leaders enabling them to build team member capability,
· Coordinating with the Regional MSE team for support.
Successful implementation of this strategy should focus on building capability while ultimately delivering financial results. The Supply Excellence Manager is also responsible for managing the training group ensuring development of that team and effective progression of the site’s Education and Training Program.
Key Responsibilities:
· Be an active member of the Site Leadership Team guiding and supporting the overall site strategy.
· Leading transformative change within the factories through MSE
· Leading and Developing 1-5 Direct Reports plus indirect development responsibilities site-wide
· Lead the continued implementation of the Mars Supply Excellence Operating System by fostering readiness and maturity with the pillar structure (standardized work, FMOS, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement).
· Lead, teach and coach associates at all levels lean thinking/principles, tools, systems and metrics.
· Collaborate with peers to ensure a capable and coordinated TPM/MSE based continuous improvement journey
· Partner with the Technical & Reliability Leaders to ensure the ongoing seamless integration of TPM activities into the Lean Operating System.
· Partner with the Regional Training Manager to ensure the ongoing execution of training standards and utilization of supporting tools
· Drive Lean training and implementation of a Lean toolkit: value stream mapping, pull systems, kanban, SMED, problem solving, Kaizen, heijunka, etc.
· Facilitate and train others to facilitate kaizen events to achieve improvement, transfer knowledge, and engage team members and leaders in activities supporting the lean transformation
Job Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Professional
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
· Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience (CPG preferable)
· Minimum 3 years TPM or lean manufacturing experience
· In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree a high school diploma and 5 years TPM experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Experience
· Proven experience as a coach/trainer/mentor.
· Ability to manage stakeholders and influence without authority. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities. Process and detail oriented with a “hands-on” approach. #
