Purpose of Role:

The Supply Chain Analyst role is a strategic role that manages both inbound and outbound freight spend, capacity and carrier performance. This will be accomplished through effectively managing our carrier network and working with internal and external partners regarding capacity management. This role will serve as the key liaison between our carriers and our distribution/commercial as well as customer supply chain organization.

Principal Accountabilities:

·  Transport Capacity Analytics:
· 
·  RFP for over $200MM freight spend.
·  Period capacity calibration across all sites both inbound and outbound finished goods as well as raws and packs to ensure no lags in transport capacity.
·  Cross functional partner with supply planning and commercial on transportation needs and changes within the business.
·  Carrier Performance Management:
· 
·  OTIF – managing the on time delivery of both inbound (raws and packs) and outbound (FG) inventory.
·  Tender acceptance – measuring our carrier base adherence to RFP allocation and managing compliance.
·  Safety – ensuring proper safety protocol is administered across network.
·  Lead quarterly carrier summit – develop presentation and lead summit conversation with our top partner carriers.
·  Daily operational management – act as escalation contact for carrier performance opportunities.
·  Spend Management:
· 
·  Routing guide compliance – managing the effectiveness and depth of the routing guide to ensure our actual freight spend is aligned with expected and coming in below budget.
·  Assessorial management – developing creative solutions to decrease assessorial spend.
·  Mitigating risk to customer fines and fees – developing sustainable solutions to achieve customer service levels and avoid monetary penalization (north of $18MM).
·  Optimal sourcing – responsible for ship point analytics to ensure we are servicing customer orders from the optimal mixing center.
·  Payload optimization – developing creative and sustainable solutions to maximize payload on inbound and outbound freight.

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge:

·  Experience in logistics operations, transportation and warehousing.
·  Experience working with ERP and transportation management systems.
·  Ability to analyze large sets of data for recommending and implementing solutions.
·  Functions well in a high pressure environment where urgency is required and able to prioritize effectively.
·  Ability to develop and manage external vendor relationships and drive continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively influence with multiple internal and external customers to driver optimal performance for logistics network.
·  Ability to access and manipulate data from multiple sources to create usable information to assist decision making and analysis. Use of Excel to create pivot tables, V-lookup tables or Microsoft Access queries is needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

·  BS / BA Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or quantitative discipline.
·  Two to five (2-5) years supply chain experience that includes movement of either inbound or outbound freight.
·  Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Six Sigma qualification.
