Formulation Developer – Dry Care & Treats - Petcare

Salary: Starting from £26,091 (negotiable depending on experience) ,12% Bonus and excellent benefits

The purpose of the job is to create and maintain the formulations of our dry, care & treat products to meet all our standards and targets. The job holder will be involved in various development projects, from concept through to implementation. They will also be responsible for projects aimed to improve the quality, efficiency and sustainability of our existing portfolio. The job holder will also be integral in helping to resolve challenges that arise involving raw materials and finished products. The position provides close cross-functional partnership with other R&D functions, Supply and Commercial across local, regional and global tiers to enable the successful delivery of the business OGSM.

What are we looking for?

·  Proven experience in research and development and/or technical role in a related company
·  Strong knowledge in animal nutrition, feed/petfood formulation and nutritional content of raw materials
·  Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes used to produce feed and petfood ingredients
·  Understanding of petfood consumers, market opportunities, recipes, raw materials and processes constraints
·  Strong ability to work in multicultural and multi-discipline teams
·  Experience in project management and capability to lead cross-functional projects

What would be your key responsibilities?

·  The creation, maintenance and optimisation of a portfolio of formulations
·  Ensuring that your portfolio of formulations meet all quality, nutritional and legal standards and that they are fit for purpose
·  Collaborating with and supporting the Product Development team to execute the innovation pipeline
·  Generating, leading and delivering quality-, efficiency- and sustainability-related projects
