MRO Stockroom
Summary:
Attendants are functional experts in their assigned area in the stockroom. This position is in support of Maintenance and Operations by facilitating part availability at the right time, the right place, and at the lowest cost possible. This is accomplished through the use of standard operating procedures for inventory control and reduction, parts receiving and inspection, parts kitting, staging and delivery, proper material storage, parts preventive maintenance, metrics and other activities critical to world-class storeroom operations. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Performs all assigned activities & job tasks within the area.
· As a team member, the individual has direct responsibility and accountability for stockroom window operations, cycle counts, assist in stock room inventory reduction and part kitting for all planned jobs.
· Perform issuing of parts and return to stock as needed.
· Review Re-Order report for accuracy of inventory levels.
· Perform daily cycle counts accurately and efficiently in order to maintain Inventory Accuracy and Stockroom Service Level.
· Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level.
· Able to operate a forklift.
· Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems (LSS, PSL, MIS, SQCIS, etc.).
· Understands principles of inventory control.
· Has knowledge of the plant's products and goals.
· Has general knowledge of Mars & the systems used by the business.
· Limit access to secure stockroom areas to ensure parts availability and proper inventory control practices.
· As a contributing resource, perform job kitting, staging and delivery to increase maintenance group efficiencies.
· Be a resource to plant associates in searching for parts/equipment which are stored in the stockroom required for a particular use or machine.
· Use the 5S activities of Visual Workplace to ensure superb housekeeping activities.
· Provide proper inventory controls through established methods such as cycle counting and physical inventories. Assist in implementing continuous improvement stockroom strategies that will bring the greatest return on investment, improve competitive position, and achieve site objectives for the stockroom.
· Utilize computer system to update and maintain item history, vendors and quality information.
· Resolve discrepancies of all inventory items to obtain maximum inventory accuracy.
· Advise the appropriate plant associate of unusually high usage of parts and supplies in order to identify potential equipment problems and/or stockouts.

· Basic understanding of a parts catalog and their use in locating parts by performing adhoc queries using the computer.
Desired profile
Minimum Requirements:
· High school degree or equivalent; In-house training required. Completion of certification program may be required.
· Some previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Lifting 25 lbs.
· Possess basic computer skills, knowledge of simple programs such as Excel and Word.
Performance Measures (KPI’s):
· MAT Attendance
· Inventory accuracy > 95%.
· Value of identified parts for stockroom reduction at 1% of the total stockroom value on a period basis.
Part Kitting compliance for planned work > 95%.
