Job Purpose/Overview
The responsibility of the Marketing Specialist will be to work closely with the Brand Communications Lead and Retail brand managers on the coordination and implementation of Eukanuba’s and Royal Canin’s marketing program, with a focus on providing efficient and effective project management and support for execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with Brand Managers, agencies and Marketing key stakeholders to assist with the execution of campaigns, including project management and managing progress throughout campaign lifecycle
• Act as primary contact for project trafficking with agencies and vendors; organize and optimize workflow between brand and agencies to ensure that all elements are handled according to procedures
• Create schedules as needed and manage projects with all key stakeholders
• Assist with the coordination and execution of all digital, web, PPC/SEM, email, and social media campaigns
• Support online communication and content planning and assist with QA and approval process
• Assist with the development of marketing material both on and offline (project sheets, project lists, etc.)
• Assist with marketing files and collateral inventory maintenance
• Develop and maintain process, procedure, and workflow documentation related to marketing, communications and sales
• Manage administrative billing duties (i.e. invoice processing, POs) for both Royal Canin and Eukanuba
• Coordinate agency and supplier relationships as needed
• Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders
• Support Royal Canin digital project management
• Other responsibilities as assigned
Context and Scope
This position will work collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders to help execute the brand strategy.
This position is dedicated 50% to Eukanuba and 50% to Royal Canin
· The position reports to the Brand Communications Lead.
· This position will be located in the Royal Canin USA corporate office in St. Charles, MO
· No travel is required
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing and/or a related discipline
Knowledge/Experience
• 3+ years marketing experience
• Digital experience a plus
• Experience with project management and proven track record of managing detailed projects to execution
• Ability to manage work independently, multi-task and work effectively with both users and technical staff in team-oriented environments
• Must have a high-level understanding of product marketing including product launches, pricing, promotions, sales and distribution
• Knowledge of billing and invoicing processing
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with Brand, eCommerce, Sales, IT and other relevant departments
• Proficiency in PC environments and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Superior verbal and written English-language skills
