Machines Quality Engineer – Mars Drinks

£33,200 - £41,400 + bonus & excellent benefits                                   

Basingstoke, Hampshire

Reporting to our UK Quality & Food Safety Manager, as Global Machines Quality Engineer you’ll investigate product quality concerns from market units, conducting preliminary root cause investigation and escalating to the appropriate function for corrective action. This role will also be responsible for monitoring and overseeing the Equipment Development Process (EDP) to ensure compliance with Materials Quality Management Process.

 

Owning minor incidents within our manufacturing site and at the external manufacturer, you’ll escalate serious and critical incidents to the machines quality incident owner and investigate product quality concerns for all technology brands to determine likely root cause and escalate to the appropriate owner for corrective/preventative action.  Other deliverables inclide:

·  risk assessment of consessions
·  conducting periodic GMP audits for our UK machine factory
·  compiling and collating global machines quality data
·  monitoring refurb operations with regard to quality.

 

With a proven track record in a similar role and the ability to work cross-functionally, you can stand alone to support customer-focused, risk-based decisions.  Your experience of statistical /data analysis complements your understanding of Six Sigma and lean principles in the design and development of quality systems and processes and of Equipment Development Process (EDP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).  In addition to your experience in a technical area within a relevant industry to vending machines such as R&D, product development, quality assurance, manufacturing or engineering, you also have:

·  quality auditing experience
·  strong customer focus
·  a full UK driving licence.
