Mars Wrigley is looking for an Inventory DRP Analyst in Hackettstown, NJ.
This role is accountable to ensure that finished good product is in the right place at the right time within the MWC supply chain network. Efficiently mitigate regional imbalances that are creating potential customer order cuts, low inventory service risks and/or non-quality costs. Manage the logistical network by coordinating product moves or the movement of customer orders to efficiently meet the business needs. Responsible for cultivating internal relationships at the appropriate level to deliver best in class customer service and logistical financial performance. Supports Mars Wrigley Confectionary NA priorities.
Key Responsibilities :
· Recommend and execute efficient solutions to complex inventory problems consistent with quality, service and cost objectives. Examples:
· Minimize customer service and financial impact of product shortages, product excesses, product age issues and Item Variant management.
· Work closely with all related departments to generate solutions, when quality hold and micro release issues jeopardize product rotation or customer service levels.
· Coordinate the shipment of goods into CoPack/Co-manufacture facilities with External Manufacturing Team.
· Actively participate in the daily Central Mars Operating System (CMOS) meetings to identify solutions/take actions to mitigate potential customer order cuts, low inventory service risks and non-quality costs.
· Monitor and action the network’s inventory at the item-location-code date level to minimize non-quality costs from aging product.
· Responsible for the data integrity and maintenance of the JDA system. Examples:
· Maintain/update setup of existing items in JDA.
· Ensure appropriate daily deployments are sent to downstream systems.
· Resolve daily JDA exception reports.
· Executes necessary transshipments to maintain the appropriate inventory balance across the distribution network using the approved supply strategy framework for stock versus promotional/seasonal items.
· Partner with Customer Care to identify and approve customer orders that should be sourced to an alternate warehouse to ensure on-time and complete delivery (Out of Region shipments).
· Support inventory and storage needs and manage around constraints in order to maintain network health.
Context and Scope:
The position requires an effective working relationship with physical logistics, customer care, make and external manufacturing areas of the organization. Consequently, a thorough knowledge of these functions (e.g., customer service, warehousing, transportation, supply chain, etc.) helps to identify areas for improvement, develop credible plans and drive solutions that balance customer service & network costs according to the priorities of the business. Expected to develop a thorough understanding of the supply chain and information systems that are used and/or impact this position.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Management and/or related field is highly preferred
· In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree the requirement is a high school diploma and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a supply chain function (Customer Service, Plant Scheduling, Plant Deployment, Supply Logistics, etc).
· Organizational agility and communication skills
· Experience and knowledge around seasonal issues affecting individual items, warehouse storage capacity issues and transportation issues
· Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain Pipeline
· Knowledge of SAP (finished goods management system), and procedures related to the movement of product
· Ability to become functionality Independent on JDA software.
· Analytical skills
· Knowledge of the interdependencies between Sales, Customer Supply Chain, Logistics Operations, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Operations Planning
