Industrial Engineer – Columbus, OH

Job Purpose and Context:

The Industrial Engineer/Supply Excellence Manager is responsible for providing analysis and support for Premium Manufacturing Network to drive overall excellence in customer service and value within Mars Petcare. Primary interface is with the Continuous Improvement Technicians, Segment Industrial Engineers, Project Engineers, Activity Managers, Plant Manager, R&D, Sales and Marketing, and other functional business areas as required in plants and national office.

What are we looking for?

·  A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Preferred advanced degree such as MBA or Masters in technical function
·  A minimum of 2 years’ experience in one of the following areas: Production Line Manager and/or Site Industrial Engineer and/or Project Engineer and/or comparable technical position
·  Proven success in regard to loss elimination through UPS or Kaizen methodologies
·  Preferred skills in TMP, Lean and solid root cause analysis
·  Experience with TPM implementation, LEAN tools, Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt
·  Ability to work collaboratively with various cross functional partners, including leadership

What would be your key responsibilities?

·  Develop and implement focused improvement strategies based on site loss analysis.
·  Facilitate and coach others in daily problem solving/loss elimination activities
·  Recommend and implement tools to monitor and optimize supply performance
·  Maintain accurate catalogue of process, product and packaging capabilities relevant to leveraging existing platforms for growth
·  Own site-based CAB project writeups
·  Liaison with the central office MSE and engineering teams within the region.
·  Coach and Develop site problem solving & root cause analysis skills at all levels.
