If you enjoy practical work and have a strong interest in Engineering, here’s a great opportunity for YOU to make it mean a lot more: a career with a real future. Our Engineering operations are mission-critical to the success of globally admired brands like our Mars Bars, Snickers and Maltesers. Our $33bn family owned company also produces other iconic brands such as Uncle Ben’s, Whiskas and Wrigley’s.
On an Engineering Apprenticeship with Mars, you’ll learn how to make those world-famous products and use our state-of-the-art machinery, all whilst earning money from day one.
The scheme is one of many apprenticeships at Mars; so you’ll be joining lots of other like-minded people. And in addition to taking part in training courses and team-building events, you’ll be given genuine responsibility. So, at the end, you could find yourself in one of many roles, with some of our former apprentices now managing key equipment and one of them managing a team of engineers.
Your future is wide open! To rise to the challenge, you will be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering and technology, enjoy problem solving, and working with your hands. You’ll need five good GCSEs, including Maths at grade B or 5-6 along with English and a Science grade A-C or 4-9. A flexible approach and an interest in engineering are important and you’ll also need to be a great team player and communicator, with the motivation to get results.
To apply, please attach your CV and include a brief cover letter detailing why you think you’d be right for a career in Engineering. We’d love to read about your hobbies related to the program. For example, you enjoy fixing your bicycle or car at the weekend or how you have a passion for understanding how things work.
The deadline for applications is 15 th March 2017.
