Job Title: ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN
Maintain, adjust, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment such as motors, motor control circuits, power distribution systems up to 600 VAC, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's focusing on Rockwell, Siemens and Modicon are a plus) and AC/DC drives. The incumbent must be capable of using electrical test equipment, meters, o-scopes, etc., and possess the skills required to troubleshoot to a component level. Additional requirements include drafting or CAD experience, and knowledge of robotics, automated processes, and photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors. The incumbent must also be able to read wiring diagrams and schematics and understand the software associated with PLC's in order to troubleshoot issues. In addition, the incumbent assist the Maintenance Mechanics with the installation of new equipment including electrical conduit, wiring, etc. A technical certificate or diploma in Electrical Maintenance is preferred or equivalent work experience.
The incumbent is expected to work closely with Maintenance Mechanics as needed to maintain existing equipment. This might require help with mechanical repairs as needed.
Essential Functions
Physical requirements:
- Minimal amount of lifting (50-100 lbs.)
- Minimal pushing (200 lbs.)
- Frequent handling/gripping
- Minimal bending/stooping
Perform repairs and adjustments to electrical equipment with minimal guidance or supervision.
Responsible for troubleshooting to a component level.
Must have a thorough understanding of facility electrical and mechanical equipment.
Requires basic computer skills and knowledge of applicable software for reporting and troubleshooting.
Must follow all company OSHA and safety guidelines.
