OVERVIEW: The Customer & Pricing Data Functional Expert is responsible for the accurate definition and delivery of Customer reference data and Pricing data for Mars Food. This role initiates the design and development of data management processes in SAP that result in high quality, accurate data for the business. These processes provide critical reference information in support of new and existing customers, pricing, and updating pricing conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Customer & Pricing Data Functional Expert will ensure that his/her team is widely recognized as functional experts for Customer master data and Pricing for Mars Food US. Their responsibility is to ensure the maximum benefit, related to master data, is obtained from a particular business processes and the relevant system. The FE should have a good understanding of the system, which underpins these processes, including an awareness of how transactional data affects the business. This role will also liaise between Global GRD users, Mars IS technical group, Supply and Sales teams, and customers to trouble shoot and resolve technical issues.

Customer Support Activities

·  Work with Sales and Mars Financial Services (MFS) to initiate and maintain new customer in Atlas and its supporting systems
·  Maintain customer relationship information for accurate billing and reporting
·  Maintain business partners relationships for accurate system identification of various hierarchies in SAP; POI, Payer, Bill to, etc
·  Provide leadership with Customer workflow development and maintenance
·  Conduct analysis and determine impact of initiatives on reference data processes
·  Provide functional expertise and resources to support system data migration activities

Pricing Support Activities

·  Plan and execute price changes as requested by Sales
·  Execute uploading of Intercompany Pricing as requested by Plant Service & Finance (S&F)
·  Testing and validation of pricing actions
·  Communication of pricing actions to broader business
·  Provide functional expertise and resources to support system data migration activities

Support Activities

·  Provide first level functional support to the system end users. This support includes answering key user and or end user questions, solving process issues, acting as the point of escalation for support for the business processes and the point of contact for the IT support teams.
·  Perform root cause analysis, where possible. Aim to build a knowledge base to capture support information and common problems and their possible solutions, over time.
·  Point of contact for the Mars IS support teams and workflow system health and maintenance
·  Responsible for periodic and annual testing of new releases and system enhancements.

Training

·  Cross training of area specific activities across all members of the Data team (Customer & Pricing FE)
·  Responsible for supporting and facilitating workflow training and system functional training to all end users.
·  Documentation of local business processes for training purposes. Will add to the central documentation repository.
·  Run informal information sessions that provide updates on the business process and system.

Desired profile

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge

·  Understanding of globally determined item standards (GS1)
·  Overall master data knowledge
·  Demonstrated project management skills
·  Excellent organizational skills. A self-motivator; able to work independently and the ability to prioritize effectively.
·  Strong analytical, logical and practical thinking skills.
·  SAP master data application knowledge
·  Supply chain process knowledge and the roles of the various divisions. An in depth knowledge of Business Best Practices.
·  System skills for the purpose of collecting data, organizing information, communication/publishing information and preparing reports and presentations.
·  Information systems reporting and decision support.
·  Working knowledge and understanding of Mars US supply chain systems and supporting systems (ex. GRD).
·  Strong verbal and written communications skills
·  Relevant information systems knowledge (SAP, DAP, Business Warehouse, etc.)

Key Experiences

·  3-5 years of business experience preferably in the areas of ERP master data
·  Functional expertise in material master data
·  Hands on experience in Logistics and / or Customer Service preferred
·  Information and integration systems experience
·  Business analysis and integration experience
·  Exhibited problem solving experience
·  Project planning, organizing and priority setting skills

Desired Education

·  BS/BA Degree in business, information technology or supply chain management. An advanced degree is desirable
·  External classes on Supply Chain and Project Management.
·  Or years equivalent in experience.

Preferred Experience

·  Experience in ecommerce
